About GCG

Our company is a pioneer in processing residuals and promoting ecological developments in the country. We strive to create impact by implementing specific initiatives that contribute to the improvement of nature. Our main focus is on utilizing residual products, which to most people are seen as waste, and converting them into valuable raw materials.

By processing these residual products into usable materials, we not only contribute to reducing waste, but also to reducing CO2 emissions. Residual products can be converted into various products, such as building materials, thus we make a significant contribution to reducing pressure on natural resources. By seeing and utilizing waste as a valuable resource, we contribute to a more sustainable future for us all.

Our Product

Biochar

Biochar is a carbon-rich material created by heating organic material under low-oxygen conditions through the pyrolysis process. This results in a porous structure with various uses:

Soil Improvement

Biochar acts as an effective soil conditioner by optimizing soil structure, water retention and nutrient uptake. In addition, it promotes the activity of beneficial microorganisms, increasing overall soil fertility.

Carbon Storage

By converting organic matter into biochar, carbon is stored in a stable manner, contributing to global climate mitigation efforts by reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

Water Filtration

Biochar acts as an effective soil conditioner by optimizing soil structure, water retention and nutrient uptake. In addition, it promotes the activity of beneficial microorganisms, increasing overall soil fertility.

Renewable Energy Production

The pyrolysis process, in addition to biochar production, generates syngas that can be used as a renewable energy source.

Waste Management

Biochar production contributes to the sustainable management of organic waste by transforming it into a valuable and stable product, which also reduces the impact of organic waste on the environment.

What we believe

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a pioneer in processing residual waste and then turning it into valuable raw materials. What many see as waste, we give a new life and thus contribute to reducing CO2 emissions. These include building materials made from fast-growing crops and biochar made from waste residues.

Our goal is to continuously develop our technological innovations and expertise. We strive for a world in which sustainability, social responsibility and progress go hand in hand.

Mission

Our Mission

At our company, we strive to promote natural products and make a measurable, positive impact. We are more than a manufacturing company; we are a movement for change.

Our main goal is to reduce our environmental footprint. We no longer want to contribute to the harmful effects of traditional materials. By focusing on natural and renewable resources, we strive to reduce CO2 emissions, minimize waste and conserve natural resources throughout the life cycle of our materials.

Our impact goes beyond environmental protection. We believe in social change and value local communities.

Therefore, we support these communities by providing employment opportunities, stimulating local economies and pursuing social justice within our supply chain. Education is essential to us; we want to not only supply materials, but also spread knowledge about their benefits.

We also focus on innovation and market transformation. We do not just want to follow the current standard, but to change this standard. By pursuing continuous innovation, new technologies and the acceptance of natural raw materials, we want to create an industry that is fully focused on sustainability and respect for our planet.

Nut shells from different types of nuts, such as macadamia nuts and almonds, have different uses and benefits. Although they are often seen as by-products or waste from the nut industry, they can be reused and recycled in a variety of ways.

One common use of nut shells is as a fuel. They can be burned to generate heat and energy, making them an alternative to traditional fuels such as wood or coal. However, there is the problem of CO2 emissions from burning them.

LOCATION

Where We Are

Our factory, strategically located in Cape Town, is the central hub of our operations. From here we process hemp, sourced from fields scattered across various parts of Cape Town and beyond.

The hemp fields, carefully dispersed to ensure optimal harvest, serve as a foundation for our sustainable production. Our commitment to local communities goes beyond the factory walls; we work closely with local farmers to ensure they receive the support and training necessary for a successful hemp harvest.

working together

Local Impact

Every day we receive fresh hemp from local farming partners, who join us in our commitment to sustainable farming practices. From harvesting to processing.

This strategic positioning contributes to our vision of responsible, local and environmentally friendly production, making a positive contribution to the future of our communities and the environment.
